Sci-Tech Mathematics

Science and technology both require at least some understanding of basic mathematical concepts. You dont need to hold an advanced degree in algebra to become competant, and you certainly dont need specialist training to enjoy the wonders that science can provide. However, if you really want to get to grips with how things work in science and, more importantly, if you want to pass your new found knowledge and ideas on to others then you need to know how to express it in a scientific manner.

The big advantage of using numbers for science is that it creates a cross-cultural. "language-free" method of expressing ideas - you no longer need to worry about translating your work into a hundred different written languages - you simply produce the formula.

This section of Sci-Tech will not teach you advanced mathematics. It will not explain how number theory works. It will, however, arm you with the basic information you need to understand the principles of mathematics. If you have ever felt your skills in this area are lacking, this site can help you out.
